People from all professions and all walks of life without exception are suffering from depression in the present times.

How to overcome this situation?

Whenever you feel you are getting in to depressive mood, immediately understand that your brain is not getting sufficient supply of oxygen or pranic energy. Now brain has to be supplied with sufficient oxygen to improve its functioning potential where by the spirits of the mind is pushed towards higher levels. In order to do this, sit on a chair or on a sofa if you have the opportunity to sit or if you are in a crowded place move to a bit isolated area and then start taking deep breaths for 15 to 20 times. Inhale deeply in a comfortable way and then exhale deeply.

Continue this Inhale and Exhale process for 3 to 5 minutes or 15 to 20 times. This is nothing but natural deep breathing.

What happens during deep breathing?

As you inhale air deeply, the air gushes through your nostrils, and wind pipe and fills the lungs completely. When the lungs are full with air, the blood in the alveoli of the lungs absorb this fresh air which is full of oxygen, and thereby becomes rich in oxygen. This richly oxygenated blood then circulates in every part of the body rejuvenating every cell, just like watering the plants. Every cell begins to vibrate with energy (oxygen is pure energy) and naturally gets rejuvenated.

The body becomes more relaxed, energetic, and lively. When the blood rich with oxygen due to this deep breathing, is supplied to the brain, every cell of the brain gets activated.

Therefore, the functioning of the brain improves just as wilted leaves bloom when the roots are watered. The depression of the mind which is usually caused by lack of supply of oxygen to the brain disappears and the mind becomes fresh and relaxed. You would regain lost enthusiasm.

Deep breathing is a great remedy for beating depression, dullness, and boredom. Whenever you feel depressed, dull, or bored, immediately adopt deep breathing. You will see the change because of the pumping of a lot of life energy.

Remember, breathing is like watering a wilting plant which blooms after that. If one gets into depression and develop suicidal tendencies at any point of time then all one has to do at that moment of time is to take deep breaths 15 to 20 times and then think about the suicidal plan.

Definitely, he/she finds that his/her thinking process which was pushing him into suicide gets blown off as passing clouds for that moment because of the additional supply of oxygen to the brain altering its functioning process and the brain in turn changing the state of the mind from committing suicide.

This is the immediate and temporary solution for that moment.

Now you got the instant remedy for depression in the above paragraphs but the depression may continue to haunt you because of the circumstances you are in at that point of time in life.
